The 1% Illusion — Insight
Small improvements can change a life, but only when they are moving in the right direction. Becoming better at something does not automatically mean we are making progress. Sometimes the wisest choice is to continue patiently; other times, it is to stop, change direction, or begin again.
The real question is not always, “How can I improve this?” It is often, “Is this worth improving at all?”
Small steps build skills, relationships, confidence, wealth, and opportunities over time. But they are tools, not rules. The greatest form of progress may sometimes be a tiny improvement—and sometimes, a courageous decision to make a completely different move.
